We want every parent in our community to be able to use Fredericksburg Moms, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.
What we do
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level.
- Our colors are chosen so text stays readable against its background.
- Images include descriptive alt text, and buttons and links have clear labels.
- Moving content, like our scrolling partner logos and rotating sponsored spot, pauses when you hover over it and stops entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Pages work on phones, tablets and computers, and you can zoom text without losing content.
Third-party content
Some content on our site comes from other services, such as embedded social media posts, event submissions and ads supplied by partners. We work with those partners to keep their content accessible, but we may not control every detail.
Tell us about a problem
If something on our site is hard to use, please let us know. Email [email protected] with the page address and a short description of the issue, and we will do our best to fix it or get you the information another way.
