Motts Run Reservoir is an 860-acre natural area serving as both a drinking water source and outdoor recreation destination for Fredericksburg. Features 4+ miles of hiking trails, fishing, canoeing and kayak rentals, an orienteering course, a Nature Center (open weekend afternoons April–October), and picnic tables. The Nature Center houses resident snake Pocket and interactive nature displays. Open year-round.
