A traveling animatronic zoo sets up in the Lowe’s parking lot at Southpoint for one afternoon. Kids can walk among life-size lions, tigers, elephants, pandas, monkeys, dinosaurs and a smoke-breathing 40-foot king cobra, then dig for fossils and burn off energy in the soft play area. Entry is the purchase of one deep dish cookie per person, with no age exceptions. The virtual reality aquarium, face painting and souvenirs cost extra.
