In the heart of Downtown Fredericksburg, woven into the tapestry of one of America’s most historic cities, are eight art galleries and studios, each a vibrant celebration of visual creativity. On First Fridays for the past 30 years, the galleries have drawn thousands to Downtown Fredericksburg to check out local art, rub shoulders with the artists, listen to street-corner musicians, and sample the fares and wares at Downtown’s 21 restaurants and 30 late-night shops. Some, if they’re of age, buy a craft beverage so they can sip and stroll, all while walking, talking, and gawking at the diverse riches Downtown Fredericksburg has to offer. Others hop on and off the free trolley that loops through the arts and business district. Featuring exhibitions, performances, and special events–FXBG First Friday is worlds within worlds, waiting for you to explore.
